This dress is really pretty and I would have loved to keep it, but the color is totally off from the picture. It's very more of a neutral beige instead of an ivory. Also the pink ribbon along the dropped waist was frayed and looked ugly. Be prepared to switch it out with a different ribbon. The beading and the overall quality of the dress is awesome, and if were a lighter ivory I would have kept it. It would look great on someone with very fair or dark toned skin.

I brought down the house with this dress at a "speakeasy" charity event. I'm 51 and a size 12/14. I needed to have the straps shortened so the girls(38D) were covered. I bought a low back strapless bra and wore spanx. The blue velvet bow that is described, was actually hot pink! Not my speed. I snipped it out, then bought a thin black velvet ribbon, put a safety pin on the end and threaded the ribbon through myself. It was slow going, but once done, looked fabulous. My shoes were ann marino "lido" pump. $50 bucks from dsw, in black, to match the threaded ribbon. With my black feather hair piece, I got more complements than I've EVER received. Sadly, the dress material is cheap - however, the beading is very high quality. This dress would have cost $400+, easily, at a retail store, but would have been made with a more expensive material. All things considered, I LOVE this dress and can definitely wear it to another dressy function.

I bought this for my 1920's themed wedding, and I could never have been happier with it! It flaunted femininity, fun, and whimsy. I am certain every guest at our wedding commented on how beautiful the dress was, and instead of packing up my wedding dress to be forgotten it hangs in my closet for the next time I want to look gorgeous, feel like a woman, and make a scene!
