Ordering

No Cancellation Policy

Unless there is a problem with your order (i.e. your item is out of stock or delayed) we have a no cancellation policy. Once your order has been placed and processed, it is impossible for us to catch it and cancel it for you. You must wait to receive your item and then if applicable, you may send it back for an exchange or refund (shipping charges are non-refundable).


Ordering Designer Dresses or Shoes

Please note all orders for a designer dress or shoes will have a 4 day handling time before the order can ship from our warehouse. Please consider this when choosing a shipping method. To waive the handling time please contact customer service.

All designer dresses and shoes returned for a refund will result in a 15% restocking fee. The designer dresses that this rule applies to are; Blush, Faviana, Flirt by Maggie Sottero, Jasz Couture, LM Fashions, Mac Duggal, Mignon, Night Moves by Allure, Nina Canacci, Sue Wong, Sydney’s Closet, Terani, and Tony Bowls.

If store credit or an exchange is chosen the restocking fee will be waived.

 

Sizing

Keep in mind that most gowns will need some sort of altering. We are NOT responsible for sizing mishaps. We use the size charts provided by the manufacturer or measure them ourselves. We do not measure the dresses on your body; therefore we cannot guarantee the measurements listed will be exact.

 

Out of Stock and Backordered Items 

Although we have most of our merchandise in stock, occasionally unforeseen out of stock items occur. We will notify the customer within 24 hours if their item is out of stock.

If the item is on backorder at the time of purchase an estimated delivery date will be in the description of the item. If not, you may contact our customer service for further assistance.

 

Final Sale Items

All cosmetics, petticoats/crinoline slips, hair accessories, lingerie, and special order dresses are final sale and non-returnable, no exceptions.

 

Special Orders

All special order dresses are final sale and non-returnable, no exceptions.

 

Taxes

Tax is only charged to California residents at 9.00%.

 

Shipping

2 day - 4 day Handling Time

All Unique Prom orders have a handling time before the order can ship from our warehouse. Unless otherwise noted there is a 48-hour handling time for all items. Items with a longer handling time include but are not limited to designer dresses and all shoes. These items have a 4 day handling time. All extended handling times will be noted in the description of the item. Please take this into consideration when choosing your shipping method.

 

Domestic & Military Shipping Policy

Unique Prom uses FedEx for domestic deliveries, with the exception of PO Boxes and APO/FPO, which are shipped through US Postal Service. Also, if you live in a remote area your order may be shipped through the US Postal Service.

"Domestic" pertains to the lower 48 states; Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & the US Virgin Islands will have separate shipping charges applied at check out.

 

Domestic Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are determined at checkout based on package weight and delivery location.

Free Ground Shipping is available to all orders over $150 within the continental US.

Ground shipping takes approximately 5-7 days.

Express shipping options available are 3-Day Express, 2-Day Air and Standard & Priority Overnight.

Saturday Delivery is an additional $15 fee and must be chosen at checkout.

The Expedited Shipping option will expedite 4 day handling times to 48 hours. It is an additional $50 fee and must be chosen at checkout.

For urgent orders that must be received overnight, please call our customer service for availability.

Please note: Delivery times do not include weekends, holidays or handling times and Saturday delivery is only available by marking the box on the checkout page.

 

International Shipping Policy

We currently ship all international orders using FedEx International.

Please be aware that all international orders may be subject to additional duties, brokerage or custom fees upon delivery. These fees are calculated by customs officials and cannot be estimated prior to shipping. Delays in customs are possible with every international order, which may affect delivery arrival times. Unique Prom has no control over customs fees or delays. You may contact your local customs office to determine customs costs.

If you refuse to pay at delivery, all additional fees incurred will be subtracted from your merchandise refund.

 

International Shipping Rates

Shipping rates are determined at checkout based on package weight and delivery location.
A rush shipping option may be available at checkout depending on location.

Returns

Easy Returns & Free Exchanges for Domestic Returns

Unique Prom, Inc. now offers EASY RETURNS & FREE EXCHANGES! Our easy returns offer applies only to domestic orders. Your return label will be supplied in your package. To use, simply stick on the return package, along with our return address and give it to your postman or drop off at the nearest FedEx location.
  • Refunds: Receive a refund back to your original payment method, minus a $5.99 shipping fee when you use our return label.
  • Exchanges: Unique Prom will happily process an exchange for free when you use our return label. No return shipping fee will be applied.
  • Store Credit: Request a store credit instead of a refund and we will waive the return shipping fee as well as any designer or shoe restocking fees.

 


Domestic Returns Policy

Your return must be received back to Unique Prom within 14 days from the day you received your order for a refund or exchange. If received 15-30 days after original delivery of your order you will be issued store credit only for your return.

Please read specific policies for the items you are ordering to exceptions, return restrictions and restocking fees.

 

Domestic Exchange Policy

Simply ship back to us using the return label included in your package and be sure to include the original invoice with a note requesting your exchange choice. We will cover the cost of shipping back to you. If there is a price difference between the exchange, we will either charge or refund your credit card or PayPal account, whichever is called for to complete your exchange request.

Please note exchanges can take approximately 2 weeks to be received back to you. For exchanges needed in a rush we recommend you place an order for the new item and ship the original item back for a refund.

 

Internation & Military Returns Policy

Your return must be received back to Unique Prom within 30 days from the day you received your order for a refund or exchange. If received 30-45 days after original delivery of your order you will be issued store credit only for your return.

Please read specific policies for the items you are ordering to exceptions, return restrictions and restocking fees.

 

International & Military Exchange Policy

Simply ship the item back using any mail carrier (we do suggest getting a tracking number to avoid lost returns). Please include the original invoice with a note requesting your exchange choice. We will charge your original card or PayPal account for the cost to ship your exchange. If there is a price difference between the exchanged items, we will either charge or refund your card or PayPal account, whichever is called for to complete your exchange request.

Please note exchanges can take 15-30 days to be received back to you. For exchanges needed in a rush we recommend you place an order for the new item and ship the original item back for a refund.

 

Returning Drop Shipped Orders

If you received your order from a difference location other than Unique Prom you will still need to return it to Unique Prom. Do not ship the item back to the address it was shipped from; contact customer service to receive a return-shipping label.

 

Refunds

For returns received on time unworn and with the correct tags attached we offer refunds or store credit. Shipping fees are non-refundable, if you use the return label supplied in your package a $5.99 shipping fee will be deducted from your refund amount. Please see the individual items page for return restrictions or restocking fees.
We will refund your original card or PayPal account within 24 hours of receiving your return and you will receive an email receipt. Please allow 3-4 days business days for the refund to reflect on your credit card account, your refund may be reflected on your next statement. PayPal refunds should appear within 24 hours.

 

Store Credit

Choose store credit instead of a credit card or PayPal refund and Unique Prom will issue you a full store credit, no restocking fees will be incurred. Unique Prom also issues store credit for all returns received up to 15 days late.

Store credit will be credited to your Unique Prom account. To use, simply call customer service to place your order. Store credit can be used on either Unique Vintage or Unique Prom, regardless of returned item(s).

Please note restocking fees for damaged, worn or items missing tags will not be waived regardless of refund choice.  


Damaged Returns



If you have received a damaged item or the wrong item DO NOT return with the label in your package. You must contact our customer service within 48 hours of receiving your order to receive a return authorization label.

We will not accept a return if tags are missing, the item appears to be worn or is damaged with stains, makeup, deodorant markings, snags, missing beading, cigarette smoke, perfume, animal or human hair, etc. These returns will be sent back to you at your cost or charged a 15% restocking fee at our discretion.
