I bought this dress as my bridesmaids dresses (blue, green, red, and black) and loved it so much that I bought myself one for a reception dress (ivory). These were flattering and comfortable for everyone and I'm still getting compliments on how good they looked on us. The dress will almost definitely require alterations; the straps were too long for all five of us and needed to be taken in. I'd also like to note that I was between two sizes and went up, given that I knew I'd be altering the dress anyway. However, as you can see from the photos, the waist was still too large on me after we took it in as much as we could. My advice would be to lead your sizing choice from the waist, and let your seamstress take care of the rest.
